I dedicate this to the all the ladies who read my articles…
I don’t usually come with beauty recipes. And not because I’m not interested or a true admirer of beauty and charm, but because I’m more concerned about health. My deepest fascination is exploring medicine as an engineer, looking at organs and functions as a mechanism. All these, in order to have a healthy body and mind, keeping them working as a Swiss watch.
Yet, the two – beauty and health – do relate.
A healthy body is a beautiful one. The sad truth is pain and diseases carve deep marks on one’s body. So let me introduce you today to a simple cosmetic recipe for an amazing glowing skin…
If you had problems with your skin – acne, dry skin, you have been sick and pale, your body has used resources on fighting against sickness – this little recipe should definitely help. Also, if you have sunburns or passed what people would call “first youth”… this trick here is your answer.
PAPAYA! Yes, this should be all you need to know. Papaya contains papain, a protein-eating enzyme that dissolves dead cells on your skin’s surface. Papain is responsible for skin lightening and exfoliation, fighting against scars and blemishes. Also, papaya is beta-carotene-rich. This means it can combat free radicals and the formation of wrinkles.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest considers papaya to be on the Top 5 Fantastic Fruits, with guava, watermelon, grapefruit and kiwi.
So, the “how to” part…
Take a green unripe papaya cut it… and put it to your skin:
- Make a puree for your face as a 15-min mask 2 times a week, if you aim for the glowing look and to reduce wrinkles. Just add the puree of one medium-sized unripe fruit and two teaspoons of honey.
- Put small, fridge-cold papaya chunks on your sunburn for instant relief.
Or simply eat a small fruit a day for internal cleansing.
That easy. Never miss papaya.
